Becky Soderberg, LPC - Associate
Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate
Supervised by Barbie Atkinson, LPC-S.
Becky is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate with nearly 20 years of experience working with children and their families. She is passionate about helping children and adolescents embrace the qualities that make them unique, and supporting parents as their kids navigate life’s transitions on the path to becoming their truest selves.
Becky’s Education and Experience
Becky began her career in education with Houston ISD, teaching Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade students with special needs. Those first five years shaped her belief in seeing and meeting each child’s individual needs—an approach she continues to carry into her counseling work today. She later taught neurotypical students before stepping into leadership roles as a 504 Coordinator and Intervention Assistance Team Coordinator. In these positions, she championed every student—working closely with families and within the school’s guidelines to ensure they received the services, support, and opportunities they deserved. Eventually, Becky became the school’s first counselor while earning her Masters in Education - School Counseling and Development.
Building on her extensive experience in education and school counseling, Becky sees private practice as a natural next step—one that allows her to broaden her impact, offer more personalized care, and continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, adolescents, and families.
